Rinjani Trekking Lake Program

                   (Rinjani lake trekking program - 3 Days - 2 Nights)

Rinjani trekking Lake, Mount lombok trekking up to the lake of Segara anak in the three days program, it takes about two nights and three days trek, Rinjani trekking Lake starting from Senaru or Sembalun village.

Day 1. Senggigi - Senaru - Senaru Rim.
Pick up at your hotel at 06.00 am and then driven by car to Senaru village, arrive in Senaru village around 08.45 am We'll give you quick light breakfast and Register at Rinjani National Park ranger in senaru and then we begin our trek.
The first hours of the trek we will climb steeply through thick tropical forest rich in flora bird life and a variety of butterflies, You might seen orchid and typical flowers, if lucky, you may see the rare black ebony leaf monkey, known locally as lutung, Rest stops are taken along the way, at the (base camp 2) Pos 2 Montong Satas shelter (1.500m), The Village stories and local legends related by your tour guide and porters.

Features include the banyan trees which is called (bunut ngengkang) that's looks like someone standing with their legs apart, and the (Batu Penyeselan) stone, Depending on your preferences and weather conditions, the night's camp is made either in the forest at Pos 3, the Mondokan Lolak (2.000 m) after about five hours climbing from Senaru, or continue the ascent for another couple of hours through grassy meadows to Plawangan 1st Senaru crater rim at 2,641 m. from the crater rim there are sweeping views across the lake of Segara Anak (2.000m) to the summit of Mt. RInjani, Within the crater Mt. Baru (2.351) it is an active last erupting dramatically in 1994, on a clear evening you might see the Gili Islands, Bali and Mt. Agung also can be seen to the west direction.

Day 2. Senaru Rim - Lake - Hot spring - Cave
Sunrise at the rim is a memorable start do the second (Day 2) of the trek, Enjoyed after a pre-dawn 2 hours climb for those camping at Pos 3, Mondokan Lolak. After enjoying the views, the trek proceeds for couple of hours down the trail to the crater lake where the rest of the day is spent relaxing and swimming, There is plenty of time to explore the pilgrimage hot springs, said to have healing power, a Camp by the lake side, enjoying dinner followed by the night sound.

Day 3. Lake - Sembalun Rim - Sembalun - Senggigi
After breakfast, start for the 3 hours trek steep ascent up to the Plawangan 2 Sembalun crater rim and  Look out for edelweiss along the path, Enjoy the views of the Lake from the other side and the island of Sumbawa across the tropical ocean. The descent from the Sembalun crater rim is amidst the pine-like Casuarinas species locally known is Camera, perhaps seeing evidence of wild pigs and the long tailed gray macaque monkeys.

After about 3 hours reach by the post 3 Pada Balong, through grass land used at couple of cattle grazing by local people. Mt.Rinjani summit towers above up, Indonesia's second highest volcanic peak, From there is beautiful view of Sembalun Lawang and Sembalun Bumbung villages, known for coffee production until the crop was changed to garlic and to take the advantage of the garlic boom in early 1990s, The road head is reached after in another 4 hours gentle descent through open country, and the trek ends at our Rinjani counter center at Sembalun Lawang and then will continue driven to senggigi office and directly transfer to your hotel in Senggigi or to gili island trawangan Lombok.

- Suitable walking Shoes/ Warm clothing/ Wind breaker/ Rain coat

- Gloves/ Extra socks/ Small towel/ hat/ Tissue paper

- High Energy food (Chocolates, Nuts, Raisins)

- Headache tablets, lips gloss, deep heat lotion (sun block) plasters

- Torch light/ walking stick/ water proof, bag for camera

- 2 or 3 T-shirts/ long trouser/ Short/ swim cloth
